In the business world, success is computed through the money you make, the stocks you can purchase, how big is your office, and perhaps how many employees you employ. There's no denying the fact that each one of us aspire to succeed. In whatever field we are in, we all strive hard for it. The same goes in the world of home business. We all would want to achieve and generate greater income-that is success to us. Experts now are researching on ways and means that we all could improve ourselves and be better businessmen so we could achieve our dreams, our goals, our success. Now books are coming up with ways in which to improve ourselves. One of the ways, is forming a good habit. But what is habit actually? It is an act acquired by experience and performed regularly and automatically, sometimes unconciously. Habits include mannerisms, such as moving the hands when talking, tapping the feet while sitting down, and so much more. According to experts, good habits can help us achieve a successful home business. One such habit is to plan thouroughly. If one is to plan carefully and touroughly, taking each idea into consideration and then developing a strategy on how to cope up with certain problems when it arise. If problems do come, it would be easy for one to solve them, because in fact, it has been conceived already. If one plans in advance, the easier for him to get the results he desires. And how does one plan better? It is always wise to develop the habit of asking questions. Questions like what is exactly is my product or service? Who are my customers? Why does my customers buy? What does my customer consider of value or importance? What is it that makes my product or service superior as compared to my competitors? Why is it that my prospective customers does not buy from me, yet they do from my competitors? What value does he/she recognize in buying from my competitor? After all these questions are asked and answered, set a specific target for sales. Then determine the exact people, money, advertising and marketing solutions for your business, so you can achieve your goal. The more thoroughly you plan each stage of your business activities before you begin, the greater will be the probability that you will succeed when you do the operations. Next is to develop the habit of organizing before you begin. Organizing means bringing into the open all the resources you have determined you will require in your planning process. It is important that you determine the component that you will need before you begin. If one component may lack, it can mean the failure of the whole. Thirdly, one needs to develop the habit of finding and hiring the right people for the job. Experts say that 95 percent of an entrepreneur's success will be determined by the people that works for or with him. As they say, the best companies have the best people. Forth is the need to develop a habit of proper delegation. One must know how to hand over the right task to the right person, with the right instructions. Failure to do so means time wasted. If you hand over the task to a person that is not qualified or that has no knowledge in that certain task, he may not perform it well, and it would end up that the task will be handed again to yet another person, thus wasting time, energy and money. Then there is the habit of proper and good supervision. That one must monitor the performance of the task and make sure that it is being done correctly and as agreed upon. The habit of measuring performance is next. One must set specific standards for the results that one is required. Set deadlines and targets. Lastly, is the habit to keep people informed. Report results regularly and accurately , because people around you, are, and will be your potential customers, so they need to know what's going on. All these habits, if well developed, together with self motivation, determination, a lot of wisdom and patience will do guarantee success...good luck....
