Do you remember your school friends? Can you remember 100 of those people? Imagine you and 99 others starting in life. Now, how many do you think will succeed? How many will achieve great things? If we take 100 of you and look from that young age, and interview all of you. We will find that you and the 99 others will be looking confident in life. There are some who don't feel good about life, however, in the main, even though all the fears and questions about what will happen when you leave formal schooling, you all still felt confident. If we look at you and the 99 other people, perhaps in a reunion, when you are 65, what will have happened to all of you? You may be reading this and are above 65 or you maybe younger. As you read what happens, it will resonate with you. You will know your way, and know whether you have been going the best way for you. At 65, looking at this group of 100, we will find that 1 became rich. Now, I use the word rich, however, it is not just in monetary form. It could be someone who becomes a great actor, a singer, a well known artist, or even an entrepreneur. In most cases this person is rich - rich in wealth, rich in life. 4 will be financially independent. Out of the 100 people in your class, only 5 of you will be well off. And will have lived an amazing life. Now this is an amazing figure, why only 5 people will achieve any noteworthy success in your school? And ultimately what can you do to get into that top 5%? Most people are like ships without rudders. A job comes up saying they will pay, people see money, and they jump in. They are told this line of work or embarking on extra learning to get into this career will make you successful. So many people will go through life without a destination. They will not say 'I'm going in this direction, and this is not what will take me there'. This is an amazing factor. After all, so few people set goals. In fact in your class, in your school, about 7 pupils would ever set goals in life. Usually this practice of goal setting starts at a young age, though not always. Do you set goals? Do you know where you are headed? Are you in a job which is taking you away from where you want to go or towards where you want to go? Do you even know what you want? For many people, they don't have a clue about the destination. A laborer will think short term. He or she will think about that day. A government on the other hand, looks at what will happen in centuries. The result is that the laborer works on a daily wage, and has a small sphere of influence, whereas the government works with centuries, in mind. So, they rule the country or rather have the privilege of running the country. Do you set goals? Remember if you do, congratulations are in order. You are part of that small portion of people who have a much bigger chance of success. These people often are called lucky or those that have miracles in there lives. Success happens when you goal set.
