In today's business world, professional translation service is a must if you run an international company. Running an international company will need you to conduct business overseas, and at some extend, prepare documents in other countries' languages. So with this, you should hire a professional translator to help you do the job.
Translation is a communication that is written in second language which has the same meaning as written in the first language. The content that is required to be translated is known as the source text, and the language in which the source text is to be translated is known as the target text.
Translation services can be classified into 2 categories: Computerized translation and manual translation.
Computerized translation is a process whereby the translation service is being executed by computer software. In order for computerized translation to work, there need to be specific rules or algorithms that are applied to the software. The software will then analyze the source text and translates it into the target language. With computerized translation, there will not be any interference of human translators.
The main advantage of computerized translation when compared to manual translation is that it is done by computers and therefore it works faster than a person. This will save you a lot of time when you are rushing for a deadline. Often, it is much cheaper than a manual translation, and you can translate any webpage content easily too.
The disadvantage of computerized translation is that because it is based on systematic rules, sometimes it is unable to solve the uncertainty. With this, it can not always be able to produce perfect quality translations.
Manual translation is a process whereby a human is assigned to help you translate any document to the target language. In manual translation, the tasks are performed by experienced translators to convert the source text to target text.
One of the most important advantages of manual translation is that it maintains the confidentiality of your business documents. Professional translators will uphold their integrity and not divulge any secret information regarding your company. Sometimes, using manual translation can help improve syntax or grammatical errors more than what computer software can do.
One of the disadvantages of manual translation is that a professional translator will charge you for every page that he or she translates. However, sometimes we require only a rough idea of the content. In this case, a computerized translation will be more effective for you.
With this, you should be able to determine which kind of translation is best for your needs.
