Try calling them to get an appointment - and if you have done your research well, then you are sure to leave an impact on them. If you are not willing to take a full time job, or are unable to find one immediately, then you can take an internship, part-time job or even volunteer. An internship is a good option for students, as they usually don't require a long-term commitment.
